ESG due diligence for a major European airline

A major European airline sought to prepare for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) by conducting a comprehensive assessment of its value chain risks. With increasing regulatory scrutiny and stakeholder expectations, the airline needed to identify ESG vulnerabilities across its suppliers, operations, logistics network, and travel partners.

Our director, Tim Dee-McCullough, undertook a forensic ESG investigation, mapping the airline’s value chain and analysing supplier governance, carbon footprint, and social responsibility practices. This process included evaluating upstream and downstream partners, assessing material ESG impacts, risks, and opportunities under European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Through Tim’s targeted due diligence, the airline strengthened its CSRD readiness, reinforced confidence with its Audit & Risk Committee, and set a benchmark for sustainability leadership in the aviation industry.
